A coherent set of active labour market policies, consisting of temporary and targeted hiring and transition incentives, skills policies, including learning for the green transition and sustainable development, and targeted, effective and adaptable employment services, is needed to support labour market transitions and make full use of untapped labour market potential, also in line with the active inclusion approach and in light of the green and digital transformations. Adequate working conditions, including occupational health and safety, and both the physical and mental health of workers should be ensured.
