32025L2205#rec_37Directive (EU) 2025/2205 of the European Parliament and of the Council

Recital (37)

Refresher courses for experienced drivers can improve road safety by raising awareness, and by requiring drivers to gain additional experience with new technologies, such as advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving systems. In this context, and also in the context of driver training before issuing a driving licence, the use of simulators could be useful to improve important driving skills, such as reacting to adverse conditions and emergency scenarios.
