When taking stock of what sources of revenue exist to facilitate road safety, Member States are recommended to use revenue generated from financial penalties for road-safety-related traffic offences in the scope of Directive (EU) 2015/413 of the European Parliament and of the Council to increase road safety and to ensure the transparency of road-safety measures.
