In order to ensure a high level of protection for all road users in the Union, it is necessary to lay down specific rules for the implementation of driving disqualifications imposed by a Member State other than the one which issued the driving licence of the person subject to a driving disqualification, where such driving disqualifications result from driving disqualification offences within the scope of this Directive.
