Driving disqualifications resulting from driving disqualification offences within the scope of this Directive can consist of the withdrawal, suspension or restriction of the right to drive, of the driving licence or of the recognition of the validity of that driving licence. Therefore, the implementation of such driving disqualifications should be achieved in the Union through the application of such withdrawals, restrictions or suspensions by the Member State which issued the driving licence.
