The Union and its Member States, as parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, approved by Council Decision 93/626/EEC, agreed at the 15th Conference of the Parties to that Convention on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which comprises several action-oriented global targets for 2030 of relevance for soil health. According to that Framework, nature’s contributions to people, including soil health, need to be restored, maintained and enhanced.
