Short-stay visa waiver agreements concluded with visa-exempt third countries might include grounds for suspension which are different to those set out in the suspension mechanism. Consequently, it should also be possible to trigger the suspension mechanism on the basis of those grounds. However, the use of the grounds for suspension set out in short-stay visa waiver agreements should be limited to the scope of application of those agreements.
