32025R2457#rec_17Regulation (EU) 2025/2457 of the European Parliament and of the Council

Recital (17)

As part of their reporting obligations under Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, Member States have a duty to report information on the presence of substances listed in Part A of Annex III to that Regulation in the environment to the European Chemicals Agency. The use of the Information Platform for Chemical Monitoring (IPCHEM) is encouraged as a means for Member States to comply with their obligations to report such chemical occurrence data and to simplify and reduce their reporting obligations. Where Member States make data available through IPCHEM, they no longer need to report such data to the European Chemicals Agency, as the agency will be able to retrieve them from the platform.
