Article 3 of Regulation (EC) No 862/2007 covers statistics on the country of citizenship and place of birth of the resident population (migrant stocks), on the change of residence between countries (international migration flows) and on the acquisition of citizenship by the resident population. The other statistics collected pursuant to that Regulation concern administrative and judicial procedures relating to immigration legislation and international protection. The statistics referred to in Article 3 of that Regulation are closely linked to, and should be consistent with, the statistics on the resident population and demographic changes provided for by Regulations (EC) No 763/2008 and (EU) No 1260/2013. To ensure consistency, those statistics should therefore be integrated into a single legal basis and Article 3 of Regulation (EC) No 862/2007 should be deleted.
