To avoid duplication of investment in digitalisation by all actors involved, including manufacturers, market surveillance authorities and customs authorities, when other Union law requires a digital product passport for toys, a single digital product passport should be available containing the information required pursuant to this Regulation and the other Union law. In addition, the digital product passport should be fully interoperable with any digital product passport required pursuant to other Union law.
