Since it is necessary to ensure a uniformly high level of performance of bodies performing conformity assessment of toys throughout the Union, and since all such bodies should perform their functions to the same level and under conditions of fair competition, requirements should be set for conformity assessment bodies wishing to be notified in order to provide conformity assessment services in accordance with this Regulation.
