This Regulation fully respects the fundamental rights and safeguards, and observes the principles recognised in particular by the Charter, in particular the right to respect for private and family life and the right to the protection of personal data as provided for by Articles 7 and 8 of the Charter, as well as by Article 16 TFEU.
