The European Centre Against Migrant Smuggling should provide strategic, operational and technical support to Member States to prevent and combat migrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings. In that context, the European Centre Against Migrant Smuggling should also support the identification of victims of trafficking or other vulnerable individuals, ensuring necessary cooperation with the EU anti-trafficking coordinator referred to in Directive 2011/36/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council.
