Article 53 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2116 provides that based on the information referred to in Article 9(3), first subparagraph, points (a) and (d), of that Regulation, the Commission is to adopt implementing acts containing its decision on the clearance of the accounts of the accredited paying agencies for the expenditure referred to in Article 5(2) and Article 6 of that Regulation. Article 53 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2116 should be amended to take into account the deletion by this Regulation of the annual performance clearance provided for in Article 54 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2116.
