Pursuant to Directive 2014/49/EU, deposits of certain financial institutions, including investment firms, are excluded from coverage by DGSs. However, the funds that those financial institutions receive from their clients and that they deposit in a credit institution on behalf of their clients in the exercise of the services they offer should be protected subject to certain conditions.
