Since industrial and institutional detergents are used by specialised personnel outside the domestic sphere, they are subject to different requirements than consumer detergents. In order to avoid risks for the health of consumers or for the environment and to facilitate market surveillance activities, industrial and institutional detergents should be clearly identified by their label.
