Information on the correct amount of detergent that consumers need to use when undertaking cleaning activities, namely dosage information, should be included on the label of consumer laundry detergents, consumer automatic dishwasher detergents and consumer detergents for surfaces in order to prevent the potential over-use of detergents, thus reducing the total amount of detergent and surfactant entering the environment.
