In line with the Articles on the Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts, adopted in 2001 by the United Nations’ International Law Commission at its fifty-third session, and taken note of by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 56/83, and customary international law, Russia – as the responsible state – is under an obligation to make full reparation for the injury caused by its war of aggression against Ukraine.
