The High-Level Group on Wine Policy (HLG) was established to discuss those challenges and to identify possible opportunities for the Union wine sector. It reflected on how to better support a sector that is currently facing structural challenges, for example by managing the production potential, enhancing competitiveness and exploring new market opportunities. After four meetings, the HLG endorsed policy recommendations for the future of the EU wine sector.
