To further support the information, promotion and communication types of intervention referred to in Article 58(1), first subparagraph, points (h) and (k), of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115, it should be possible for Member States to increase the maximum Union financial assistance for such interventions to up to 60 % of the eligible expenditure. Furthermore, it should also be possible for Member States to provide a national contribution to the eligible costs of these types of intervention. Considering that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC face financial constraints more often when carrying out communication and promotion campaigns than is the case for large enterprises, Member States should be given the possibility to provide a higher financial support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
