Supporting efforts towards better sustainability and efficiency of the Union transport system is prerequisite to maintain a stable path towards climate neutrality at the latest by 2050, while taking due account of the need to ensure a fair and inclusive transition, preserve continuous growth and strengthen the competitiveness of European industry.
