1. The Commission shall provide the secretariat of the PRB, including the necessary analytical, administrative and technical support, taking into account the needs indicated by the PRB.
2. The main task of the secretariat shall be to contribute to the independent execution of the tasks of the PRB. For the purpose of preparing the content and orientations of the opinions, recommendations, reports and guidance material of the PRB, the secretariat shall provide its support to the PRB without taking any directives except from the PRB in order to enable it to fulfil its role. The secretariat shall be adequately resourced for the performance of its tasks.
