In order to minimise the risk of negative impacts on the single market and international trade of the new crisis payments to farmers following natural disasters, adverse climatic events or catastrophic events in accordance with Article 78a of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115, the interventions under which that Union support is to be granted should be designed by the Member States in such a way that they qualify under the criteria of Annex 2 to the WTO Agreement on Agriculture.
