The administrative burden linked to the controls for GAEC standard 7 requirements provided for in Regulation (EU) 2021/2116 can be disproportionately high for smaller farmers and national administrations. Therefore, the burden for smaller farmers and national administrations linked to the controls provided for in Regulation (EU) 2021/2116 should be eased in respect of GAEC standard 7. Farmers with a maximum size of holding not exceeding 30 hectares of agricultural area declared should be exempt from controls of GAEC standard 7 requirements.
