In order to ensure a harmonised approach and level playing field in the Union, the power to adopt acts in accordance with Article 290 TFEU should be delegated to the Commission to amend Parts A and C of Annex II and Annexes III and IV to Directive 2006/118/EC concerning guidelines for the establishment of threshold values by Member States, information to be provided by Member States with regard to the pollutants and indicators of pollution for which threshold values have been established, the assessment of groundwater chemical status and the identification and reversal of significant and sustained upward trends.
