The Commission’s communication of 11 December 2019 on the European Green Deal sets out a strategy to ensure, by 2050, a climate-neutral, clean and circular economy, optimising resource management while minimising pollution. The communication of the Commission of 14 October 2020 on the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability Towards a Toxic-Free Environment and the Zero Pollution Action Plan specifically address pollution aspects of the European Green Deal.
