Given that detergents and surfactants can have a long shelf life and to ensure coherence with the requirements to keep documentation under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 which are applicable to the majority of detergents, manufacturers should keep the technical documentation, the digital product passport and, where applicable, the digital label for a period of 10 years from the date on which the detergent or surfactant covered by that technical documentation, digital product passport or digital label has been placed on the market.
