Market surveillance is an essential instrument for ensuring the proper and uniform application of Union law. Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 sets out the framework for market surveillance of products that are subject to Union harmonisation law. Member States should therefore organise and carry out market surveillance of detergents and surfactants in accordance with that Regulation.
