Tasks should be assigned to the Secretariat and the National Contact Points to ensure the search and matching functions of the IT Platform. Those tasks should be considered as tasks carried out in the public interest for the performance of which it is necessary to process personal data, as referred to in Article 6(1), point (e), of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Article 5(1), point (a), of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council, respectively. The processing of personal data should be carried out in compliance with Article 8 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the Charter), and Regulations (EU) 2016/679 and (EU) 2018/1725.
